The Practice of Presence: STANDING IN YOUR POWER
Standing in your power means taking your life back into your own hands. It means accepting yourself fully in all of your dimensions both in shadow and in light. It means showing up for yourself and owning your decisions, knowing what is and isn't in your control and moving with the ebbs and flows of life rather than resisting transition or pulling away from the possibility of transformation. Standing in your power means fully accessing the present moment through mindful awareness and making skilled decisions that best support your health, harmony, and happiness. This is easier said than done when we are faced with choosing ourselves over our loved ones, our relationships, or those asking for our help, energy and attention.
What are you allowing in your life?
Standing in your power takes serious strength and courage. At times it might seam easier to stay silent about our feelings and have other people make decisions for us. It may be comforting to people-please and prioritize the happiness of others over our own. However, making decisions based on the needs of others moves us further away from our own needs and we suffer from separation of our soul from our self. Reclaim your power to choose what is right for you, without feeling guilty, sorry, or selfish. Have the confidence to say yes when you mean it and say no when you want to say no. It is your right!
