Sanskrit Sangha Book Club (SEPT/OCT 2026)
Sanskrit Sangha Book Club presents: SIDDHARTHA by Hermann Hesse
We will be deep reading this classic and profound novel chapter-by-chapter and meet to discuss the book, our experiences, stories, research, inspirations and curiosities, share in the aesthetic pleasure of Hesse’s writing, as well as learn about Buddhism, mindfulness, and explore other secondary resources to help illuminate the story of Siddhartha.
Joli (@dailyritualyoga), a long-time meditator, teacher, and scholar of Indic studies including Buddhism, will lead the discussion and share some of the historical underpinnings and Indic philosophy that permeate the book, using Siddhartha as a gateway to Hindu/Vedic Culture, Buddhism, a key to unlocking Indic wisdom, and an opportunity for contemplation and self-reflection.
